- "Highlander's" climactic sixth season brought the legend to its dramatic conclusion with a signature collection of sweeping tales powerfully capped off by a stunning two-part finale that saw Duncan MacLeod ride off in a bittersweet yet uplifting "blaze of glory." The two-episode "To be" and "Not to be" bids farewell to "Highlander" with a creative nod to Frank Capra that shows the fate of the world had Duncan MacLeod not been a part of it. In it, a gravely wounded Duncan gets the opportunity to witness firsthand the sad fates of his most beloved friends -- Richie, Methos, Joe, Amanda and Tessa -- and comes to understand and gain peace with the role he played in their true lives
