Summary
A collection of photographs dating from the early 1950s of school buildings from across the county. The images have been digitized to help document local education and architectural history. The black and white photographs are from the Oshkosh Public Library's Local History Collection. Most of these were taken by National School Services, now Lifetouch, the Eden Prairie, MN-based photography studios. For years, NSS's "picture men" would travel to one-room schoolhouses with mahogany box cameras taking photographs of classes as well as the schoolhouse buildings
