Summary
Carl Laemmle, who for years was at the head of the Continental Clothing house here, was the originator and head of the "independent film movement" and was one of the greatest factors in the motion picture field. As showing that he cherished tender memories of his former place of abode, Mr. Laemmle was determined to place before the public a combination of views that shall depict "Oshkosh in motion." The residence and business sections, the parks and public buildings, the fire and police departments, schools and city officials, social and business life--in fact it was proposed to make an animated pictorial record of Oshkosh and its prominent people of the past
