Summary
Laurel has moved to the beautiful but remote wilderness of Desolation Sound with her daughter and frequently absent husband, Michael. Their fac̦ade of tranquility is shattered when Laurel's free-spirited friend, Elizabeth, arrives unexpectedly. Drunken confessions and exposed affairs turn Laurel's world upside down.
