Summary
In "The cat in the hat.," two youngsters find themselves bored at home, but when the mischievous Cat in the Hat arrives, they're cat-apulted into a day of rousing, romping antics. In "The Lorax," the Lorax tells the story of the greedy, tree-chopping Once-lers and the brave Lorax who speaks for the trees. In "Pontofell Pock, where are you?" a young man wishes he could get away and his wish is granted in a globetrotting, song-singing way. In "Green eggs and ham" Sam-I-Am insists that everyone sample the dish he loves best! In "The Sneetches," narrow-minded Sneetches learn a Sneetch is a Sneetch with or without a star. In "The Zax" the world doesn't stop for the stubborn Zax on the prairie of Prax. In "Halloween is Grinch night" a young boy sets out to save Whoville from the foul-tempered Grinch! In "The Grinch grinches the Cat in the Hat," Dr. Seuss' two most popular characters square off as the ever-clever Cat puts the gloomy Grinch in his place. In "The Hoober-Bloob highway" visit the magical island where Mr. Hoober-Bloob sends babies to Earth in his own musical way
