Summary
Before Archie Bunker, there was Alf Garnett: narrow-minded, profane and unafraid to let everyone know exactly what he thinks and loudly. This ground breaking TV sitcom from the BBC was the model for the classic American show "All in the family." In "Dock pilfering," Alf's wife pays him back for his moaning at breakfast with a surprise in his lunchbox. In "Up the Hammers," Alf and Mike "babysit" by taking the baby to a drunken football match. Alf's in a wheelchair due to his broken leg in "Alf's broken leg," but do you think the local lads will cut him any slack because of it? In the Christmas episode Alf returns from an Xmas visit to the pub with more than sugarplums in his head
